2016 DISTRICT Holiday Decorating Contest Guidelines
1. Any street-level business or building within the district ( 1st & 2nd Avenues North, Lower Broadway from 1st to 5th Avenues, Printers Alley and continue with areas) are eligible to enter the contest by following these guidelines.
2. Clear lights are recommended to outline architectural features of the building, with White or Colored lights for entrances and windows and Roofline cornices.
3.Building Decorations to be Visible from the street level
4.Create a window decorations- Windows may also be decorated with washable paint to add holiday accents to the building.
5.Decorations must be completed and installed by 5 PM on Wednesday, November 30.
Light up the district building lighting contest first prize $500 second prize $300 third prize $100
Gray line of Tennessee is sponsoring the light up the district tray lighting project on second Avenue.
The Nashville Downtown Partnership will reimburse you up to $100 for the purchase of lights to decorate your building.
The DISTRICT Board members will supervise the contest entries and with members of our community conduct the judging of the decorations all winners will be recognized during the Mayor’s Tree Lighting on Friday, December 2, 2016.
